G. Ron Lester, VP Internal Audit, DCT Industrial Trust
G. Ron Lester is the Vice President of Internal Audit for DCT Industrial Trust. In his position he is responsible for all internal audit activities, coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and assists with the oversight of the outsourced HR function. Prior to joining DCT, Ron held positions as Group Vice President of Human Resources and Vice President of Internal Audit for Archstone-Smith. Ron has over twenty-five years of total business experience.
In both Human Resources and Internal Audit, Ron has focused on building teams that focus on the compliance requirements of public companies, while supporting the strategic direction of the organization. He has extensive experience in risk management and development of internal audit departments.
Ron is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) registered in Arkansas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with Cum Laude honors at Louisiana Tech University. He is a member of Board of Directors of The Institute of Internal Auditors (“IIA”); Denver Chapter. He has served as a volunteer instructor for the IIA and has been designated a Distinguished Faculty Member.
He has been active in several community organizations, both as a board member and performer in musical theater and choral groups.
