Expanding Presence, More Choices

RMHRPS is delighted to formally introduce our affiliate chapter in the Northwest Corridor. This affiliate will focus on issues specific to organizations in the northern communities of the Denver metro area. One way we plan to do that is to offer quality programs targeted at the needs of organizations in the Northwest Corridor. In fact, our first Northwest Corridor program kicked off on February 24,2011.

Of course, programs in the Northwest Corridor as well as metro Denver are open to all RMHRPS members, so plan on attending the programs that best fit your interests and location. We look forward to seeing you soon!

How are employers and HR leaders using social media to attract, retain, and engage talent and foster more collaboration and innovation in their organizations?

Join us as we hear about the latest research from Towers Watson concerning 'social media' and how it is being used strategically to position organizations competitively to attract new talent and to effectively engage in internal HR programs.  You’ll learn about the strategies, experience, and results from leading edge companies participating in Towers Watson research.  A panel discussion of local employers sharing their real life experiences in using social media will follow and be moderated by Adam Wootton, a senior consultant and thought leader at Towers Watson specializing in research and helping organizations in the delivery of social media, new media and collaborative technologies to employees.

Competencies: Bane or Boon?
Some of us find competency models to be valuable catalysts for change, performance, and leadership development. Others of us see them as expensive dictionaries that sit on a shelf. Join us in a debate over competencies, starting with a presentation on the state of the art by an expert in the field. A lively discussion will follow, starting with a panel made up of several of your esteemed colleagues who have a wide variety of experiences and opinions about competencies, leading then to an open discussion.
